Kimbra is an alternative jazz/soul singer and songwriter who has had a lifelong affair with music that began at the young age of 10 when she performed at the Waikato Times Gold Cup race in 2000. After obtaining her first guitar at 12, Kimbra began writing and performing her songs in concert and was even invited to sing the national anthem at the 2002 Waikato vs Auckland NPC rugby final. Kimbra's first album, Vows, was released in 2010 and includes the single "Settle Down" and the extremely successful duet with fellow singer songwriter Goyte, "Somebody That I Used to Know". Since her young beginnings as a musician, Kimbra has graced the stages of venues around the world to play in concert while on tour and has even made a 2011 appearance at the popular Lorne Falls Music Festival in Australia.
