Fall Out Boy is an American punk pop band that formed in 2001. Band members include Patrick Stump on vocals and guitar, Pete Wentz on bass, Joe Trohman on guitar, and drummer Andy Hurley. They began in the underground music scene and it wasn't until their second album, "From Under the Cork Tree," that they found fame. The album went double platinum and solidified their musical success. Their third album, "Infinity on High," was released in 2005 by major music label Island Records and featured collaboration with such music powerhouses as Jay-Z and Babyface. On the album the band experimented with other musical genres, such as R&B and flamenco, integrating those styles into their punk roots. After releasing the album "Folie à Deux," the group decided in 2009 to take a hiatus from the band to work on other projects. Patrick Stump's solo album, "Soul Punk," was released in 2011. Pete Wentz went off to form the band Black Cards, while Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley formed The Damned Things, a heavy metal supergroup that also included former members of Anthrax, Volbeat, and Every Time I Die. In 2013 Fall Out Boy announced that they would reunite and released their next album, "Save Rock and Roll." As a group, Fall Out Boy have been nominated for multiple awards, including the Grammy. They have won many MTV Music Awards and Teen Choice Awards.
